Story - A Musical for All Ages, Saltairy Tales tells a very local story, but with lots of general implications in a bright and lively way.

Songs - there are 12 songs including The Pride of Saltaire, Shut It!! and Down Memory Lane.

Cast - for a cast of 11 people and a chorus of 10 or more young people. The main characters include Spirit of Shipley Glen, Al the Alpaca and Angie the Angora, the four Lions War, Peace, Vigilance and Determination.

Saltairy Tales was premiered as a Community Musical, ie with a cast of local people, but can be performed by any group anywhere.

Duration - is circa two hours including interval.

Past Performance - Saltairy Tales was a hit at the Saltaire Festival 2005 attracting over 400 people to the two performances, and as a result was repeated at the Saltaire Festival 2006 as well as at the Ilkley Literature Festival 2006.
